Just arrived from a date with my hubby. Watching a local movie entitled "Bakit Hindi ka Crush ng Crush Mo" at SM City Lipa with my hubby is such a great experience...

We agreed to meet at 6pm, but I was 30 minutes late~kkk,<first date,late>

Ayos lang, my baby didn't get angry..Actually, he invited me pa nga to have a dinner at chowking..While having dinner, antahimik...Medyo nakapagpa-ingay lang ihh nong may mga kakilala syang nadaan...They were gazing at me, siguro just wondering kung ano nya ako..Malamang,bagong mukha ako sa paningin nila..or probably there was a question bothering their insane minds, *bakit dala nya pet nya dito?*

Anywez, after the dinner, he bought cake at goldilocks for his nanay coz it's her bday tom.. Okay, heto na...We went to the cinema..And we watched the movie...Why does your crush doesn't like you..According to the movie:
1. He really doesn't like you.
2. He has got a girlfriend/he's taken
3. Your horoscope doesn't match
4.I didn't catch the rest...

Four Rs after you broke up with your partner:

After watching, it was already 9:30...We waited for the van to leave..Then while in the van, he handed me something that is wrapped in a (of course) wrapper.. I was like...oh my..what a shame on my part..He was giving me something, but I don't have anything to give him...If I will reject, baka sya naman mapahiya...baka magalit sya..kung kukunin ko naman tas ako walang maiaabot, *pakshet* sabi ni Kim Chui..wala na ako magawa...lunukin na ang pride Mike~

Pero kung mahal nya naman talaga ako, it was just a simple thing..*siguro<?>* pero hindi eh..Kasi nong may natanggap akong gift, naramdaman ko na mahal nya nga ako..Which I was doubting before...Pero sya, wala manlang natanggap...huhuhu,,,I'm sorry baby! Pero mahal naman kita ihh...Bawi nalang ako next time ha?Wag mo muna ako i-break! Bawi muna ako sayo~

9. Another effective way is to record your own voice and listen to it. You will notice hesitations and pauses. You may also notice that you make some grammatical mistakes while speaking that you do not make while writing. You must aim to improve and rectify these mistakes in subsequent recordings.

10. Ask people who speak better for advice. There is no shame in seeking help especially if you are trying to improve yourself. Talk to them in English and ask them to correct you whenever you are wrong.

Last week of June, may nakilala akong isang kaibigan through social site na naging espesyal sakin..Lagi syang nagtetext sakin, kung minsan naman ay tumatawag sya...

Hindi nagtagal, naging espesyal na sya sakin...Nagkita kami nong gabi ng July 5...Nagkwentuhan at lalo pa naming nakilala isa't isa..

July 6, nagtext sya ulit. "ano na?"

Pero bakit ganito,parang hindi ako inlove sa kanya...Nararamdaman ko rin na hindi nya ako ganun kamahal...

Pano ba ito...Dati kumikita ako ng 3500 sa isang Linggo. Pero this week, dadalawang libo lang kinita ko...tsk tsk tsk...andami ko pa namang kailangang bayaran tuwing katapusan. 3000 sa bahay, 2500 pa sa laptop, 1000 internet tas 3000 allowamce ko..tas padala ko pa sa nanay ko na 3000. Kailangan ko ng part-time job ngayon...Kung hindi, naku po. Hindi ko alam kung anong mangyayari sakin...Ayoko ko ng mabuhay sa puro utang.. Lord, sana naman magkaroon pa ako ng maraming student para naman hndi ako mabitin sa allowance...May 2300 nalang akong pera sa wallet tas 14 peso sa ATM..ano gagawin ko...

Korean food at SM City Lipa

Just arrived from SM City Lipa now. I am very grateful that these Korean food are available at the supermarket. However, the price is doubled compared to that in Baguio City. An old adage says "It's better than nothing." I can now survive in the city...I want to buy some more, but it's quite expensive....

Online Job

Online job...home-based online job...search this in www.google.com or youtube.com, you will definitely get thousands of result. Many people like me who has plenty of time at home wanted to use their free time productively. My interest to home-based online job has started when I saw this news on TV about odesk. Without any hesitation, I opened their website

and I found out that there are lots of job offers. Most of them are internet-related job like transcriber, SEO, web programmer, blog developer, and many other terms that are not familiar to me. Before I applied to one of the job offers, I have had to explore that site and be vigilant since not everything on the internet is credible. After reading the terms and regulations of the site, I finally have learnt that it is not a scam. Since I am an online tutor, I applied as a tutor to a Japanese-based online center. I was a little flattered because they were very specific with the right person they are looking for. They have emphasized that they wanted to work with Filipino teachers who has neutral English, which means that they are grammatically correct with very good pronunciation--not slang nor with regional defects. After a few minute of passing my cover letter, I immediately got a respond from the agent. We exchanged skype accounts, and talked about the nature of the work. She asked me about my qualifications and experiences related to the job that I am applying for. After telling her all my qualifications and experiences, she got interested in my service. Everything has been settled. And then, few minutes before we close the deal, I bravely asked her about their rate..wow, it was very surprising! Now, I know the reason why they were looking for Filipino teachers. She is offering $1/25 minutes! One dollar?! That is only 45php! How much is the internet rental? How about the electricity? They are degrading the quality of education that the Filipino teachers can give! Knowing that Filipino is very well-known for having a good English skill, being patient! There is this Filipino adage that says, "Ang taong gipit, kahit sa patalim kumakapit." But not me! I told the Japanese agent that I can't take the job if that's the highest rate they can give. She asked me how much my rate is. I told her that my salary 100php/25 minutes(kahit 60 lang)..If she could pay me 100php for 25 minutes, I will absolutely take the job. However, she told me that it is even higher than the salary of her manager. What the f***! Though we didn't have a deal on the salary, I still show her my being professional. I said sorry, I can't take the job. Thank you for your time any ways. See, they thought they can use every Filipino for their own benefits! We have studied hard for 5 years! We had to burn our eyelids to pass every examination! Our parents had to suffer in the farm just to give us the education that we needed. Yet these foreigners would just benefit from us? I am glad that I have a Korean agent who is very honest and loyal to her tutors. Sometimes, students are absent, but the agent have had to sacrifice her own money to pay the tutors..

Any ways, after having an extensive research about online job, I have signed up to some website that offers home-based online job. I have been doing this for a week already. Unfortunately, I have not found any decent job yet! Some says that they accept newbie. I was idiot that I applied and got the job. It sounds like I have to turn the mango into watermelon before I can get paid. It is very impossible to be successful in an online job! Some offers networking (mostly Filipinos); get at least 1000 like within two days! Oh my electric fan, that's impossible! And know how much the pay is? $.50 US dollar or 22php! You will beg other people to visit the URL you sent and ask them to hit like?! What if that person doesn't really like the video? You are just putting yourself on shame! As I have searched further about this online job, I have found out that many really became successful with the job. These people who became really successful started their online job in 1980s.I was not yet born by then...It's credible because during those times, only few people can have an online job since only few can afford to get their own computer and internet connection at home. Just think about the development of the technology now. Out of 10 houses in the Philippines, 3 houses have their own computer and internet connection. There's a high competition in this industry nowadays. No wonder why professional online workers discourage newbies to apply in this kind of job. They are probably right especially if you didn't finish college. And, if you’re major is not related to technology.

For this time, I'd rather concentrate on my current job--online tutor to Korean students! So far, I am not having a problem with my pay at all. I am paid decently; sometimes I even get a bonus from my agent and from some students. My Korean agent gave me 3000php when I was hospitalized, and my other student gave me 10 000 won...Not bragging, just want to share that I am very glad that I have a fabulous agent and wonderful students!

Craving for Korean Food! batangas city

I am craving for Korean food! Anyone from the city who can introduce Korean grocery store or restaurant? I am an online tutor for Korean students. I have lived in Baguio City for like 9 years, so I didn't have any problem with Korean food. I can just eat Korean delicacies whenever I want to as there are bunch of Korean stores and restaurants everywhere. However, when I migrated here in Batangas City, I abruptly missing Korean cuisine! I plan to go back to Baguio City just to buy Korean food which will take 10 hours trip by bus...

Sounds tiring, right? But, I won't regret going to Baguio City just for Korean food...I am dying for not eating Korean food....Please leave a comment if you can recommend any Korean food in BAtangas City...Thanks so much!!

One of my Korean students, Betty, has shared some of her photos with her boyfriend during their date somewhere in Korea.

I asked her a permission if I could possibly post them in my blog...Fortunately, she agreed!

Very clear water! Wonderful, isn't it? According to her, they were catching small fish in this body of water. I thought this is a man-made lake, but to my surprise, she said that this is a natural lake!

I wonder if there are still lakes as clear as this that can be seen here in the Philippines...

A noun is often defined as a word which names a person, place or thing.

A pronoun is often defined as a word which can be used instead of a noun.

A verb is often defined as a word which shows action or state of being.

An adverb is a word which says how something is done.

An adjective is often defined as a word which describes or gives more information about a noun or pronoun.

A preposition is a word which shows relationships among other words in the sentence.

A conjunction is a word that connects other words or groups of words.

Life of an Online Teacher

So, what is an online teacher’s life like?

I have been working with Korean students for more than 5 years already!

Take note—FIVE YEARS!

Who do you think would not adapt one’s culture if you talk to them every day within 5 years?

I consider my students as friends, not as students…

Most of the time, we study grammar, vocabulary, listening, and other skills in English.

We also talk about everything under the sun.

Sometimes, we talk about our own experiences and cultures.

I learned a lot of things about Korea since my students have different careers.

Some are flight attendants, tourist guide, and director of a big company, civil engineers, computer programmer, hair dresser, and blogger, employee in a trading company, a loving mom, and some university students down to elementary students.

Of course, with different reason why they wanted to learn English.

Most of them just wanted someone to talk with using English.

Some are preparing for an interview.

A few are bored, so they like to spend their time productively.

So, let me tell you how I became an English tutor and suddenly an online tutor (which I consider the best job I have).

When I was in high school, I never heard about Korea.

I do not even remember any of my high school teacher mentioned about Korea.

Until now, I couldn’t imagine myself working with Koreans.

When I was in high school, MATH is my favourite subject.

I love Math!

I could even remember that I was once a Math teacher’s pet.

How about English?

I guess English sucks!

Believe it or not, but when I was in high school, I didn’t know about that fucking partsof speech like verb, adverb, noun, pronoun, adjective, preposition, conjunctionand interjection.

I don’t know about simple past tense, simple future tense, and simple present tense.

About present perfect tense, future progressive tense, regular verb, irregular verb, first person, second person, singular, plural, common noun, proper noun, and abstract noun?

Where on earth are those terms originated?

Mind you, I didn’t have any idea about those nonsense things!

Since Math is my favourite subject, I really love to be an accountant.

I asked my mom if she could send me to college and take an accounting course, unfortunately, a poor mother of mine told me with a teary-eyed that she could not.

I have an uncle who is a lawyer.

My mom sent me to him hoping that he could help me.

My uncle brought me to a school and gave me the chance to take an entrance exam, however I was late already, so I have no choice but to wait til next semester.

I could not explain, but I cried (weird) because I really wanted to enter in a university.

So, he sent me to my uncle (Pastor Celeste) who lives in Baguio City.

He runs a school there.

He works with some Koreans—the school where he administers is owned by Korean brethren.

           I thought my problem is solved already because I can take a course which I am interested of.

To my surprise, there were only three courses offered in the school—Social Work, Theology, and Education.

So, I’d rather choose one course than nothing.

Anyway, it’s for free or with a discount since the administrator is my uncle.

Alright, so I took up Bachelor of Elementary Education.

I was thinking of taking up secondary education majoring in Math, but I can’t find myself working with senior students.

During my first year in the university, I thought it was a big mistake of studying in college.

I thought, I should have stayed in my hometown and work there to earn money.

College life is just so difficult for me.

My allowance is scarce since my mom could not support me.

I can only buy a shirt (ukay-ukay *very cheap clothes*) when my aunt who works abroad, my sister who works in Manila, and my uncle Alex will give me money.

One more thing that frustrates me in my college life is my English subject!

As I mentioned earlier, I don’t know anything about English!

And then, the entire instructor and my classmates in college are English speakers.

No one is allowed to speak in mother-tongue inside the school campus.

That is why my classmates misunderstood that I am mute because I don’t speak during the class discussion.

My professor talked to my uncle and worried if I can become a teacher.

So, to make the story short, my uncle including the academic dean (who used to work in a big University at Baguio City) and my professors were all amazed after they see me for my demo-teaching.

They never thought that I could become their asset.

Ahahaha

Alright, so when I was in third year college, someone has introduced me to a Korean student.

He is a 4^th year high school student who studies at the University of Baguio.

I refused at first, but they have encouraged me.

They told me that I am capable of the job.

So, I took the challenge.

I could still remember it was rainy season during those times.

I had to travel for an hour just to teach one student for an hour paid for a hundred peso.

I taught him for just a month.

When I arrive home, I still had to make my homework, so it affects my study.

I gave up because it was very difficult.

And then, when I was in my hometown, (I could still remember that I was watching basketball league at the plaza) when my former boss sent me a message asking if I could teach in her academy.

I was still a student before, but it was vacation so I grabbed the opportunity.

She told me to come the next morning, so I had to rush home and tell my mom if she could give me a fare because there’s a job waiting for me in Baguio.
